NYFW Photo Diary with Redken Canada

And just like that, my first NYFW has come to a close – what a whirlwind! As you probably know, I went to New York with Redken as part of the colour ambassador program I’m working on with them (more on that here). It was amazing being down there in the thick of it all, and getting to debut a super-chic cut – one that I’ve been wanting to do for so long but never could muster up the courage for – at it. My semi-drastic new ombre silver bob with dark roots was done by Marie-Eve, and I’m having suuuch a fun time with it. I’m really liking parting it and wearing my bangs slicked to the side – which is made possible thanks to Guts! – and doing the whole sleek bob thing. I literally got my hair done the day before New York, which worked out well because I got to visit the Redken Exchange (like the literal 5th Ave.) and test out their new Heatcure service (more info on that here) riiiight after a lightening service. My hair feels pretty awesome considering it was double processed so recently. I’m looking forward to trying the Heatcure at-home Self-Heating Mask too and will be sure to let you guys know how I like it.

New York was amazing as always, and it seems the more I visit the more friends I need to hit up when I’m down there! It was impossible to co-ordinate stuff with everyone, but I did get to meet some of my fav peeps + check some places off my list (Jack’s Wife Freda/Tao/Le Bain) while I was down there. A definite highlight was the Baja East show – I got to go backstage and watch the master, Guido Palau, Redken’s global creative director, do hair….and also managed to slip my way into front row, directly in front of Teyana Taylor, Iman Shumpert, Emily Weiss, and…Naomi Campbell. V chill. Keep scrolling for more of snaps:
